I Went To Reaksmey CheyMongKoul Pagaoda The Day 13 of 15 days Pchoum Ben on Oct 13, 2012, Santouk, Kampong Thom
The Day 13 of 15 days Pchoum Ben on Oct 13, 2012, I Went To Reaksmey CheyMongKoul Pagaoda , Santouk, Kampong Thom Province Where I Was Born in 1976, But My father Was Killed By Khmer Rouge in 1977.
Sdok Sdam village, Chroup commune, Santouk District, Kampong Thom Provice located 145 Km from Phnom Penh. It is on the national road No. 6A to the North.
During Pchoum Ben, every year I went to the Reaksmey Cheymongkoul pagoda where the place my father passed away when I was a year. I always praised for him.
Chroup commune councils office.
Information build board is flooding.
Whereas bulletin board is broken.
Chroup commune councils office is flooding and very dirty.
Pump well and toilet are flooding as well.
I always visited my nanny Yoeun who took care of me, one of more than 20 children during Khmer Rouge. She remembered me well. She see me who am I and called my name clearly. During the Khmer Rouge from April 1975 until 1979, she was responsible to take care of more than 20 children in cooperative place when their parents went to the rice field. I was one of those children. Ms Yoeun always told me: "Only you come to visit me!". She always described about me, since I started walking...
Nanny Yeoun saw the photo of my son Kareney through my smart phone HTC, she told me that I was healthier than my son Karaney. While, everything is almost the same.
She watched my family photos.
Missing nanny Yeoun.
Pou Soeun who was the old based villager also described about me and my father during Khmer Rouge. He is a good person.
This house is a former cooperative and cooking house where Ms Yoeun took care of children.
Here is the house that my family (new people, we came from Kampong Siem district, Kampong Cham province) were living with (the old people who are the base village) during Khmer Rouge regime. That was Khmer Rouge policy that almost new family had to live with the old family, this strategy was to allow the old and the new critized each other. This point I did comment to Mr Chhay Bora who is film maker of Lost Loves at the conference in Northern Illinois University, US last month. Mr Bora agreed with me but his case was a bit different.
In the front of the house.
I was living this house more than 3 years during Khmer Rouge.
During Khmer Rouge, this house was separated into parts one for old family (Yeay Mich's family) and new family (my family).
Everybody talked about me when I was a baby and small boy during Khmer Rouge. They also talked about my parents, especially my father who was killed by Khmer Rouge. They knew who killed my father at that time I was just a year old.
Now, they use cleaning water and toilet.
Well keeping bull-sheets.
Going to the house I was born where just passes 5 houses next door.
This is the house I was born in early 1976 by two traditional birth attendants, one names Meas, but another people don't know her name.
Here is the land behind the house I was born, now the house's owner rented it for mobile phone antenna.
This is the house of Chmorb Boran (TBA)'Yeay Meas (she passed away) where is nearby the free land.
This is Yeay Morn who is the daughter of Yeay Meas. She talked to Yeay Mich about me and my family.
